Krishna tells Kaliya to end his game, but Kaliya replies that it has only just begun. Krishna, having tried to reason with him to no avail, prepares for an attack. He leaps onto Kaliya’s head and strikes. Meanwhile, Yashoda, unaware of the commotion, continues with her arati. Krishna declares to Kaliya that his hoods symbolize sin, injustice, terror, tyranny, and chaos. To prevent further destruction, he must be stopped. Krishna vows to restrain Kaliya’s menace and remove the fear he has instilled in everyone. He asserts that Yamuna belongs to all, not just Kaliya, and launches his attack.
As Kaliya cries out in pain, Balram comments on the distressing noise, suggesting it’s Kaliya’s voice. Radha reassures that Kaliya will likely return but insists that nothing will happen to him. Yashoda calls out to Krishna, who responds that he is coming. The onlookers are astonished to see Krishna standing triumphantly on Kaliya’s head. Lakshmi praises Krishna’s actions, noting that Kaliya’s pride turned him as venomous as a serpent and affected his sensibility. She commends Krishna for bringing joy to the world.
