Jagriti watches in distress as her father, Harish, clings to a rock, trying to avoid falling into the valley. She prays for his safety and suddenly spots a horse, sparking an idea. Quickly, she ties the foot of the man holding onto Harish to the horse and makes the horse pull both him and Harish back. The man tries to help Harish up, but he struggles to stand due to an injury to his waist.
Meanwhile, Ballu is engrossed in a card game with friends, joking that Harish will soon be prey for wild animals. Durjan arrives and questions why Ballu hasn’t gone hunting yet, teasing him that he should help the women with housework instead.
Jagriti successfully brings Harish back on the horse. However, a man approaches Durjan with troubling news: Harish has fallen from the horse into the cliff. Durjan is baffled, wondering how the best horse rider in their community could make such a mistake. Ballu suggests Harish might have been drunk while riding. Jagriti quickly defends her father, asserting he hasn’t touched alcohol. The man adds that Harish seems to have sustained a serious injury, possibly breaking his waist, and Durjan orders someone to fetch a doctor. Ballu protests, questioning the need for a doctor for someone he views as a burden on the community, recalling how Harish has spent years drinking. Nanda points out that Jagriti hasn’t yet completed the challenge of earning Rs 100 a day, which Harish had taken on, and now he likely won’t finish it.
Determined, Jagriti steps forward, insisting that her father will get treatment, but it won’t come without a cost. She declares her intention to complete the Rs 100 challenge and heads into the jungle.
In the jungle, Jagriti spots a foreign bird and pleads for it to enter her cage so she can sell it for her father’s treatment. The bird complies and enters the cage.
Jagriti then positions herself by the roadside, attempting to sell the bird for Rs 100. However, the police notice her and take her to Kalikant’s house.
Meanwhile, Akash’s grandmother is troubled by a rabbit in the house. Akash tries to soothe her, urging her not to scold the rabbit, but his grandmother makes a comment.
When the police bring Jagriti and the bird to Kalikant’s house, Akash’s mother learns about her roadside sale. Recognizing Jagriti as the girl who saved the rabbit, Akash shares this with his mother. She then questions Jagriti about why she captured the bird. Jagriti explains that selling the bird will earn her Rs 100, allowing the bird to live happily in a golden cage.
Akash’s mother then ties Jagriti with a golden chain, asking how it feels. Jagriti responds that she feels suffocated. Akash’s mother explains that no matter how beautiful the cage may be, confinement is never pleasant, and she draws parallels to Jagriti’s situation. Realizing her mistake, Jagriti thanks Akash’s mother and promptly frees the bird. The police, influenced by Akash’s mother, do not object. Just then, Kalikant enters the house.
