Aaji, in tears, asks Rannvijay for forgiveness, lamenting that she cannot welcome him properly. She expresses her concern about Kailash’s insufficient earnings to sustain the household. Milind chimes in, questioning why Aaji is apologizing to an outsider, assuring her that he would have arranged everything. However, Aaji insists that Rannvijay is family since he is Vaiju’s husband. Milind hands Vaiju a book of previous years’ questions for practice before leaving. Aaji comments on Milind’s police inspector demeanor, noting his perpetual anger yet deep love for the family.
Aaji encourages Vaiju to share a plate with Rannvijay, claiming it will enhance her husband’s lifespan. Vaiju playfully asks if a husband can eat from his wife’s leftover plate. To her surprise, Rannvijay agrees, stating he will gladly do so if it means increasing Vaiju’s lifespan. He sits down, takes a bite from her plate, and declares that their lifespans have now increased. Vaiju gazes at him, utterly enchanted. Meanwhile, Jaya recalls Sulekha’s observation that things have shifted between Vaiju and Rannvijay since Vaiju’s arrival. Rohan serves tea to the family and chocolate milk to Arhaan.
Missing Vaiju, Arhaan asks Rohan if he has called her. Jaya arrives, serving tea and attempting to uplift everyone’s spirits. She tells Arhaan that Vaiju is his favorite and can return if he finishes his milk. Rannvijay playfully teases Vaiju about the mosquitoes in the room, to which she retorts that he has invited himself. Rannvijay claims he has come to rectify her mistake, insisting that she should have been honest about their one-sided relationship. Vaiju refuses to engage with him and asks him to stop equating everything with money.
Rannvijay asserts that he will leave in the morning and warns her not to expect him to recognize her if they meet again. He wonders if Vaiju will even try to stop him this time. Picking up his bag, he decides not to wait until morning and prepares to leave immediately. Vaiju stops him, causing him to smile, but then she informs him that no vehicle will be available for his return now, suggesting she can call Milind to drop him off at the bus stand. Rannvijay feels annoyed that Vaiju isn’t making more effort to keep him there. After she mispronounces some English words, he sits down to help her learn the correct ones for her exam the next day.
Meanwhile, Jaya is alone, crying as she misses Rannvijay. Vaiju watches him intently as he teaches her. Jaya clutches Rannvijay’s pillow, yearning for him. Rannvijay awakens to find Vaiju asleep beside him, holding his hand. She apologizes for it, but he reassures her to relax. He mentions he will leave soon, telling Vaiju she shouldn’t have felt the need to save him. Vaiju responds that she is freeing him from the burden of feeling responsible for saving his life.
