Mahishaasur threatens to kill the Shiv devotees, declaring that Devraj Indra and Ganesh will be held responsible for their deaths. Devraj Indra urges the devotees to choose devotion over fear and begins narrating the story of Lord Shiv. Despite Mahishaasur’s attempts to attack the devotees, he is thwarted by the sacred bel leaves. Devraj Indra chants “Har Har Mahadev,” bewildering Mahishaasur, who cannot fathom how ordinary bel leaves can counter his assault.
Devraj Indra continues with the tale of Lord Shiv and Sati’s first meeting, with the background music of the Shiva Shambhu song enhancing the narrative. Mahishaasur’s attacks are unsuccessful again. In the past, Lord Shiv had performed the Tandav dance in grief after Sati’s death, and Lord Narayan had intervened to calm him, leading to the creation of the Shakti Peeth.
In the present, Lord Narayan emphasizes the significance of the Shiv katha being shared. He explains that the story was passed from Ganesh to Devraj Indra and then to the Shiv devotees. He requests Ganesh to elaborate on the Shiv katha. Ganesh, receiving a nod of approval from Lord Shiv, explains that Lord Shiv is omnipresent and that this devotion will protect Devraj Indra. He reminisces about his assurance to Devraj Indra that Mahishaasur could never overcome Lord Shiv’s devotion.
Devraj Indra tells the devotees about Lord Shiv’s love story as they chant “Har Har Mahadev” and move away. Mahishaasur attempts to stop Devraj Indra but fails and calls upon Shukracharya, expressing his intention to take revenge on Ganesh for deceiving him.
Lord Narayan reveals that the magic of Shiv katha has protected them. Devraj Indra arrives, proclaiming that those who narrate Shiv katha will receive Lord Shiv’s blessings. He thanks Ganesh for saving him from Mahishaasur and announces a boon: although he is the king of the Devas, he desires that Ganesh be worshipped before him. Lord Narayan confirms that Ganesh’s puja will precede that of the Tridev, with the Ganpati Morya song playing in the background.
Devraj Indra states that Ganesh will be honored with a puja the next day. Narad vows to inform everyone about Ganesh puja, while Brahmadev declares that tomorrow will be celebrated as Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh is touched by the respect he is receiving, and Lord Shiv assures him that he deserves it all.
Kartikeya volunteers to prepare for Ganesh Chaturthi, and Lord Shiv advises him that while victory is easily accepted, defeat is challenging. They share a heartfelt hug, moving Kartikeya to tears. Devi Parvati also shows her emotional side with a smile.
Narad informs the devotees about the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations and provides guidance on how to celebrate. Lord Shiv tells Ganesh that the upcoming day is of great significance for him.
