Mahishaasur declares his intent to seize Adi Shakti from the universe. Just as he prepares to strike, Lord Shiv intervenes (the song “Om Kara Sadashiv Neelkanth Maheshwara” plays in the background). Mahishaasur questions Lord Shiv’s interference, to which Lord Shiv responds that Adi Shakti is his wife and instructs her to leave the battlefield. However, Mahishaasur demands that Adi Shakti stay and confront him.
Adi Shakti insists that she cannot abandon the battlefield, fearing that the universe will label her a coward. Lord Shiv calls upon their children—Ashok Sundari, Ganesh, and Kartikeya—to persuade Adi Shakti to leave. Mahishaasur taunts that Adi Shakti will not leave alive, preparing to attack her once more, but Lord Shiv intervenes again, allowing their children to escort Adi Shakti away.
Lord Shiv informs Mahishaasur that, while he cannot kill him due to a boon, he will not allow him to harm Adi Shakti. Mahishaasur arrogantly claims that Adi Shakti has not defeated him and mocks her, asserting that he easily overpowered her. Lord Shiv warns him against his hubris, declaring that Mahishaasur will soon be reduced to ashes in this cremation ground. He then sits down to meditate.
Adi Shakti, concerned, asks Lord Narayan why Lord Shiv did not instruct her on how to defeat Mahishaasur. Kartikeya reassures her that Lord Shiv is still in Mahishaasur’s custody and will assist her. Ganesh expresses confidence that Lord Shiv will surely help. Lord Narayan suggests performing Rudraabhishek puja the following day, and Ganesh announces he will dance and seek Lord Shiv’s aid, while Kartikeya proclaims that the universe will call for Lord Shiva’s assistance.
The next day, the Rudraabhishek puja begins. Mahishaasur, confused, asks Shukracharya what is happening. Shukracharya explains that the universe is performing the puja to win Lord Shiv’s favor and learn how to defeat Mahishaasur. Adi Shakti and the others participate in the puja.
Lord Shiv then creates a doll resembling a little girl from ashes. Shukracharya tells Mahishaasur that Lord Shiv never acts without reason, leaving them both curious about the purpose of the doll.
Lord Narayan reveals his understanding of Lord Shiv’s intention, stating that Rishi Katyayan possesses a similar doll in his ashram. He explains that Rishi Katyayan, who has no children, treats this doll as his daughter. Meanwhile, Rishi Katyayan and his wife lovingly feed the doll.
Lord Narayan instructs Adi Shakti to enter the doll and transform into Katyayani, asserting that she will defeat Mahishaasur in this form. Brahmadev declares that the time has come for Mahishaasur’s demise.
As Mahishaasur continues to torment the devotees, Narad informs Adi Shakti that Mahishaasur has crossed all boundaries. Adi Shakti declares her readiness to fight for the respect of women and the well-being of the universe, promising that her battle with Mahishaasur will be a fierce one.
